視覺:清澈,淡金色
嗅覺:純淨,濃郁的檸檬,百香果,蜂蜜與杏仁氣味。年輕氣息。
味覺:微甜,中酸性,低酒精濃度與低酒體。有中上的檸檬,成熟桃子,百香果,杏仁,蜂蜜,礦物與白胡椒口味。長餘韻。

結論:非常優雅,濃郁與多層次的優質麗絲玲。已達適飲期,還可再短期貯存。

Appearance: Clear, pale gold
Nose: Clean, pronounced lemon, passion fruit, honey and almond aromas at youthful stage
Palate: Off-dry, medium acidity, low alcohol and light-bodied. With medium+ lemon, ripe peach, passion fruit, almond, honey, mineral and white pepper flavors. Long finish.

Conclusion: Very good and graceful Riesling.  Drink now and will benefit for short-term ageing.

本週的推薦是11年的Heggies Vineyard Eden Valley Chardonnay

品種:夏多內
開瓶:2013-11-13於SET第4級課程 (CAD $27)
評分:無 (2010年份為 RP 90)
視覺:清澈,淡金色
嗅覺:純淨,中上的椰子,石蠟,檸檬,檜木,豆類,礦物與菇類氣味,年輕氣味。
味覺:不甜,中上的輕快酸性,高酒精濃度與豐富酒體。有中上的楊桃,椰子,檸檬,檜木,礦物,豆類,奶油與菇類口味。中上回味長度。

結論:用野生酵母在橡木桶中釀製出細緻且多元風味的優質夏多內。已達適飲期,還可再短期貯存。

No rating (RP 90 for 2010)
Appearance: Clear, pale gold
Nose: Clean, medium+ coconut, waxy, citrus, cedar, nutty, mineral and mushroom aromas at youthful stage
Palate: Dry, medium brisk acidity, high alcohol and full-bodied. With medium+ starfruit, coconut, lemon, mineral, cedar, butter and mushroom flavors. Medium+ length.

Conclusion: Very good chardonnay barrel fermented by with wild yeast - resulting to meticulous and colorful characters.  Drink now and will benefit for short-term ageing.

WSET第4級第4週與第5週品酒筆記

這二週每週只各試飲2瓶酒,所以就合併成一篇

本週的推薦是07的Parker Favourite son Cab Merlot與同樣07年的RUFFINO Chianti Classico Ducale Oro Riserva

酒名:PARKER COONAWARRA ESTATE Cabernet Merlot "Favourite Son" 2007
產地:澳洲南澳庫納瓦拉
品種:卡本內蘇維儂與梅洛混釀
開瓶:2013-10-30於SET第4級課程 (CAD $29)
評分:RP89
視覺:清澈,深石榴石色
嗅覺:純淨,中上的黑醋栗,無花果醬,香草,菇類與木材香料氣味,陳年中。
味覺:不甜,中酸性,中上單寧,高酒精濃度與豐富酒體。有濃郁的黑醋栗,李子,檜木,香草,薄荷,尤加利與椰子口味。中上回味長度。

結論:很好入口,有著濃烈但柔軟單寧的典型庫納瓦拉卡本內。已達適飲期,應無繼續貯存潛力。

酒名:RUFFINO Chianti Classico Ducale Oro Riserva 2007
產地:義大利托斯卡尼奇揚替
品種:山久唯雷Sangiovese
開瓶:2013-11-06於SET第4級課程 (CAD $50)
評分:WS 91 / RP 89
視覺:清澈,中上石榴石色
嗅覺:純淨,濃郁的桑葚,玫瑰,青椒與菇類氣味,陳年中。
味覺:不甜,中酸性,中上單寧,中上酒精濃度與中上酒體。有中上的桑葚,黑胡椒,香草,檜木與菇類口味。中上回味長度。

結論:美味且有粗曠單寧的奇揚替。已達適飲期,有繼續貯存潛力。

Appearance: Clear, deep garnet
Nose: Clean, medium+ black currant, jammy fig, vanilla, mushroom and wood spice aromas at developing stage
Palate: Dry, medium acidity, medium+ tannin, high alcohol and full-bodied. With pronounced black currant, plum, cedar, vanilla, menthyl, eucalyptus and coconut flavors. Medium+ length.

Conclusion: Very good stereotype Coonawarra Cab with strong but soft tannin. Drink now and will benefit for further ageing.


RUFFINO Chianti Classico Ducale Oro Riserva 2007

Tasted on 2013-11-06 at WSET Level 4 Class (CAD $50)
WS 91 / RP 89
Appearance: Clear, medium+ garnet
Nose: Clean, pronounced blackberry, rose, bell pepper and mushroom aromas at developing stage
Palate: Dry, medium acidity, medium+ tannin, medium+ alcohol and medium+ tannin. With medium+ blackberry, black pepper, vanilla, cedar and mushroom flavors. Medium+ length.

Conclusion: Well made Chianti with coarse tannin.  Drink now and may benefit for further ageing.

開瓶:2013-11-04於溫哥華自宅 
評分:WS 92 / RP 97
視覺:清澈,中上石榴石色,厚杯緣淚滴
嗅覺:純淨,濃郁的草莓果醬,櫻桃,甜椒,玫瑰,菇類與檜木氣味,陳年中。
味覺:不甜,中上酸性,中上單寧,中上酒體與高酒精濃度。有濃郁的草莓,櫻桃,紅肉李,香草,菇類,礦物,檜木與八角口味。長餘韻。

結論:
有著絲綢般緊實且均衡架構的精彩布魯諾蒙塔奇諾。只可惜醒酒後風味漸漸淡出。已可適飲,亦有繼續貯存潛力。

Tasted on 2013-11-04 at Vancouver home 
WS 92 / RP 97
Appearance: Clear, medium+ garnet, thick tears
Nose: Clean, pronounced strawberry jam, cherry, bell pepper, rose, mushroom and cedar at developing stage
Palate: Dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ tannin, medium+ body and high alcohol.  With pronounced strawberry, cherry, red plum, vanilla, mushroom, mineral, cedar and anise flavors. Long finish.

Conclusion: Excellent BDM with velvet but concentrated taste blending in structural balance. Too bad it did not improve but fade out quickly after decanting.  Drink now and can age further.
